This is a Tumblr dedicated to the amazing fashion photographer Michael Thompson. The blog will feature a selection of his work from W, Allure, US Vogue, Vogue Paris, Vogue Italia, GQ, Details and everything far and few in between. Many of the images posted here are sourced from Michael's portfolio on Jedroot's official website. Enjoy!

Sasha Pivovarova lies in the water of a St. Barth’s beach, captivating the viewer with her pale, mysterious beauty. This beautiful, oddly angled shot is taken from Michael and Karl T’s classic ‘Île de la Mode’ story from W’s March 2007 issue.

Classy, elegant spring imagery taken from Allure’s February 2008 feature ‘Bee Season’ here. Siri Tollerød wears one of Dolce & Gabbana’s eye-popping painted gowns from the Spring/Summer 2008 collection in an image which is quite commanding in a quiet, unforced manner.

A relaxed and classic portrait of Naomi Campbell in an effortless classic YSL Rive Gauche and jeans combo styled by Joe Zee here. This black and white shot is taken from W’s August 2002 cover feature, celebrating 30 years of the magazine at the point with eleven of the most iconic models from the 70s to the early 00s.

Looking as if she has just returned from unexplored terrain on a planet in the Solar System, Diana Dondoe hypnotises in this futuristic image taken from Michael and Paul Cavaco’s ‘Prime Time’ story, which originally featured in Allure’s April 2007 issue and was one of the magazine’s more forward-thinking features.

A wonderfully typical 90s portrait (well very late 90s) from Michael and Joe Zee’s collection story ‘We Are The World’, originally published in W’s December 1999 issue. The group of models wear looks from the likes of Helmut Lang and Michael Kors here.

Hannelore Knuts makes herself at home in Tony Duquette’s lavish Malibu mansion Sortilegium, in suitably decadent style no less. The Belgian model sits amongst an array of beautiful antiques, dressed in Giorgio Armani for this image. Daria stuns (as usual) in this image taken from Michael’s recent ad campaign for Tiffany & Co. This set for Spring/Summer 2014, styled by Paul Cavaco as per usual was one of his best for the brand yet with a focus on a minimal, black and white portrait style.

Forever the bombshell, forever the goddess, Gisele manages to still sell sex even when draped in sheer curtains, as here in this beautiful image taken from Michael and Joe Zee’s editorial ‘Body of Work’, originally published in W’s December 2001 issue.

Claudia Schiffer appears not once but seemingly twice in this mysterious portrait of the German bombshell model, dressed in Yohji Yamamoto. The character she takes on here is certainly unlike the glamorous ones we’re more accustomed to seeing her portray in print. Taken from Michael’s Man-Ray influenced fashion story for W’s June 1998 issue, styled by Joe Zee.
